THERAPEUTIC SERVICES
Ostler offers a wide array of regenerative, maintenance and therapeutic services to heal horses naturally, without heavy medicating or invasive procedures. Therapeutic services can also benefit horses of all ages and workloads. Horses may receive these services as many times as needed in a season.
Chiropractic
$150/horse
Chiropractic is a noninvasive treatment used to correct confirmation, injury or soreness from repetitive use. The doctors use manual manipulation employing a high velocity, low amplitude thrust with his hands to correct a subluxation along the horses spine or extremities. The horses respond to this treatment nicely to aid in the correction of many facial, neck, back, pelvic or leg issues.
Pegasus Laser
$200/horse
Laser therapy can alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and accelerate recovery from a wide range of acute to chronic injuries or wounds. Lasers are also used to stimulate chiropractic and acupuncture points.
Shockwave
$100/horse
Shockwave therapy is non-invasive and can be used to stimulate healing of soft tissue and orthopedic injuries so horses return to a level of full soundness and useful activity without recurrence of injury. It actually heals tissues instead of merely suppressing pain and inflammation.
Kinesiology Taping

Kinieso tape helps the body natural healing process by supporting muscles and joints used for both therapeutic (injury rehabilitation and athletic working situations. It was developed with the intention to alleviate pain and improve the healing in soft tissues.
Acupuncture

Acupuncture uses either small solid needles with or without electric stimulation, or fluids such as B12, sarapin or blood, to stimulate specific points along the body (acupuncture points) to manipulate neurotransmitters in the body to influence surrounding muscles close to the points and affect target areas of the body not necessarily close to the points.
Equi-Vibe

Whole Body Vibration treats a wide range of issues, but is particularly useful for scar tissue, swelling, pre-performance warm-up, and post-performance cool down.
Ozone
$100/horse
Intra-articular injection (prolozone) Ozone can be administered directly into the joint. It can also be mixed with a mixture of procaine, vitamins, minerals known as Prolozone. We have found this an effective treatment for joint pain, arthritis, and other joint diseases. Intravenous Spinal cord inflammation–ozone and oxygen go through the blood/brain barrier so it is an excellent way to aid treatment of any neurologic issue including EPM.
