Grandeval entered competition in 23.1 shown under Zara Kishieva as a junior. Within his first season of competition, Grandeval earned his Champion and Grand Champion titles. This world champion in the making possesses incredible abilities in scope, agility, and speed. His athleticism is combined with a calm and confident demeanor, making him a favorite among riders and breeders alike. He is known for his impressive technique and precision, as well as his unwavering focus and determination. This stallion is a true athlete who exudes strength, power, and grace both in and out of the arena. Grandeval is the son of two of the first Elite Trakehner eventers in Counter Canter.

Grandeval's sire Heineken (Foundation x Foundation) is a 17.0hh black Trakehner stallion of foundation lineage.

22.1-23.2 Review: Heineken holds the Global Eventing League's Fleet Admiral ranking and the Warmblood Breeders Guild's Silver Medallion. Beginning his vast eventing career at Novice level, Heineken was reserve champion through the Global Eventing League at Fair Hill. Movinf to Training level, he was reserve champion through the Global Eventing League at Lima and at the Jackrabbit Horse Trial. At Modified, he was reserve chmpaion through the Global Eventing League at South Woodstock and at the Erast Horse Trials. Heineken was reserve champion at Preliminary level at the Babadook Horse Trial. Moving to Intermediate, he was champion during the Klexos Trials in South Nislydd, at the Opener at Hallowbrook Hotel, through the Global Eventing League at the Maryland Five Star, Bishop Burton, Barbury Castle, Strzegom, Saumur Uppers and Papakura, The Finals at Ocean House and Pier 57, and the Foxbound December Horse Trial. He was reserve chamption at Intermediate at the Harvest Horse Trials, Opener at Lotus Blossom and through the Global Eventing League at the Australian International Five Star, Natacoorte and Luhmühlen. One of his most notable achievements is being named the Intermediate Champion of the 23.1 Global Eventing League Europe circuit. At Two Star, Heineken was reserve champion at the Especora Horse Trials and the Finals at Hallowbrook Hotel, then champion at Ursa Manor July Eventing. Moving to Advanced level, Heineken was champion at Mist Haven Eventing in August and reserve champion at the Irish Festival of Eventing in Mallow and through the Global Eventing League in Papakura. In hand Heineken was the reserve champion Senior Warmblood Stallion at the WBG Sporthorse Festival in Zuidwolde and champion in Riga. [last updated 10/1/23]

Grandeval's dam Glühwein (Foundation x Foundation) is a 16.3hh grey Trakehner mare of foundation lineage.

23.1-2 Review: Glühwein holds the Global Eventing League's Fleet Admiral ranking. She began her eventing career at the Preliminary level, quickly earning the champion rosette at both the Nassau Horse Trials and Madison Square HT. Moving to Intermediate, she was a reserve champion through the Global Eventing League at Barbury Castle and Chattahoochee Hills. At Advanced, Glühwein continued to set the pace with a reserve champion finish through the Global Eventing League at Sydney, Barbury Castle and Campo de Mayo as well as the British Festival of Eventing at Warwick Hall, Opener at Griffith Park and Mist Haven Eventing in August, then champion during the Klexos Trials in Port Carmelprise, Hallowbrook Hotel and through the Global Eventing League at Bishop Burton and Avenches, and the British Festival of Eventing at Blair Castle. At the Three Star level, she was champion at the Savell Yard Horse Trials, Mist Haven Eventing in August and September, and reserve champion at the Leland Lane Horse Trials, King Street Station and through the Global Eventing League at Aachen. Breeding Stipulations

Prior to submitting a breeding inquiry for this stallion, please ensure that both yourself and your plan/chosen mare meet the following requirements:

  1. Foal owner must be an active member of the Counter Canter community and commit to begin showing the foal before or by age 4.

  2. Foal owner must claim for themself or otherwise list Odette (#81) for first-right buybacks on foal's profile.

  3. Foal must be registered as either the sire or mare's breed if mare is Warmblood, the sire's breed if mare is Thorughbred, or the the appropriate cross if mare is a pony.

  4. Foal's color must follow the most accurate genotype, and height may not exceed the mare's by more than a half-hand (0.2hh).

  5. Mare must be of any Warmblood breed, retrained Thoroughbred or sport-type pony suitable for show jumping, hunters, eventing or dressage.

  6. Mare must be currently trained/competing in show jumping, hunters or eventing. Dressage mares considered on case-by-case basis.

  7. Mares with at least a National Champion title are preferred.

  8. Foal must bear the Hof von Haas brand (HvH) if foal owner does not have their own at time of breeding.

  9. If foal owner plans to geld a colt, a 25% stud fee discount is offered for each breeding the foal owner sends to Odette prior to gelding, up to 3 breedings.
